Alaa Mahjoub is an independent Digital Business Advisor and former Senior Data Management Expert at Abu Dhabi Department of Transport. He has decades of experience in electric utilities, petroleum, transportation, and defence. His expertise spans both governmental and private sectors in EMEA, the Far East, and the U.S. Mr. Mahjoub played a pivotal role in driving the Digital Grid transformation as part of the restructuring of the water and electricity sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He has also led key initiatives at TAQA Transmission, ADCO, the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, Injazat Data Systems, as well as the Egyptian and the Kuwaiti Ministries of Defence. Mr. Mahjoub holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in computer engineering. He has authored, lectured, and reviewed research for IEEE, Cigre, the Arab Union of Electricity, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). His research interests focus on Cyber-Physical Systems and the application of Digital Business in the Power and Utilities Sector
